How to make mix fruit lick
I’ve always been a fan of fruity and seasonal drinks. After all, I love that after the holidays are over you can still taste good lemonade or mule in your fridge. It makes me feel sassy without having any sugary stuff in it. Even though there isn’t anything wrong with drinking lemonade and mule or just regular juice, sometimes I find myself feeling like mixing them up. I don’t want to waste the flavor but instead make it my own.
I have some basic advice for you if you go this route. A mix fruit drink is easy enough to drink…but what do you do if fruit doesn’t fall into one category?
It’s not about adding extra ingredients (unless they are already on the ingredient list). You just need two things. An apple and an orange juice. Let’s say you’re making an apple-orange pickle ball. Maybe we’ll get this right. This recipe will help guide you when making mix fruit lick. So here we go!
Boil the apples and make sure they don’t brown before using them! If they do start to brown, add a bit of water to cover them. Set aside and let cool in the refrigerator before serving as long as possible. When warm toast the oranges in a hot skillet just until their juices develop. When ready serve the orange mixture. Add that to a blender and blend well. Once thickened add another tablespoon of fresh squeezed lemon juice and strain it through cheesecloth, into ice cold chilled glass or plastic cups.
Mix fruit juices together to create a tasty pickle
To make the orange-apple stick you simply fill the back of the green cheesecloth with the juices and then gently squeeze the juice onto the fruit juice. Press down on the pickle ball and leave a few minutes to set. Then put the drink into glass (if it comes in a carton or cooler) and enjoy!
This pickle ball idea has worked great. Try different combinations including blueberry and peaches, pears, carrots, oranges, cranberries, mangos, cherries, and mangoes. Just experiment until you figure it out! Or maybe try adding other vegetables or herbs in. And when you’ve finished experimenting just place some kindling on your salad bowl and watch how many people ask whether you made your lemonade in advance and if so how much. Your friends will know how hard you worked.
Have fun!
Now for the main part…mixing the two juices into each green cheesecloth. Start by spooning the green cheesecloth in the orange juice and fold it around the fruit juice. Then slowly pull it up again until the juice gets soaked into the green. Now repeat the process. Don’t be afraid to use those sharp tips you got at the grocery store. I’m not saying those are necessary. But it helps make mixed fruit lick more exciting and easier to take home. That’s right. We are all here because when a friend asks where else in the world you cook this lemonade but this recipe is not so difficult. So keep on reading so your next guests find you funny. Especially if they think they can’t wait to eat your mix fruit lick until it gets too hard to bear the last bite. So don’t forget these hacks when you plan your dessert making! Be careful to always remember to give yourself permission to cheat if you feel like doing it later! I am not saying that everyone who does this must do it. Some people like to cheat on the occasion even though they think it’s going to come off a little weird. It does however sometimes work for them. They will probably end up craving it later…so watch out!
The best way to be satisfied is to have at least one cup left.
