When looking to make creamy chicken pasta, choose the right ingredients for your sauce. You want to use fresh eggs and water for this recipe. The same thing goes for your cheese and spices. You want to add extra vegetables and herbs to your pasta for an even creamier pasta. When going for these items, do not go overboard. Your final product should look like this -
1 cup fresh-cut mushrooms (or any other type)
2 cups whole-milk or half-and-half milk, preferably skimmed or low fat
4 ounces Parmesan Cheese, grated for cheese-ball dishes
8 ounces mozzarella
4 cups cooked broccoli
2 cups cauliflower florets
2 cups spinach
4 tablespoons Parmesan-flavored salt
Pinch of Himalayan sea salt powder, plus more if desired
2 cloves crushed garlic
1/2 ounce lemon juice
2 tablespoons tomato puree
2 cups cooked onions, diced
6 sprigs basil leaves
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon oregano leaf extract
1 cup freshly grated parmesan, grated as needed
2 teaspoons black pepper
1/2 cup saffron
1/4 cup fresh Italian parsley leaves, stalks only
2 cups shredded Italian Parmesan
1 pound chicken chunks
1 cup frozen peas and asparagus
1 bag baby spinach
3 eggs
1 cup chopped red onion
1 pound ground chicken breast
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Spray bottom of casserole pot with nonstick spray. In large bowl, mix together mushrooms, milk, cheese, flour, and spices until well combined. Add cooked mushrooms to mixture, fold in broccoli florets, cauliflower florets, spinach, and egg together. Pour into preheated casserole dish. Arrange broccoli florets over sauce, spinach evenly over sauce, peppers, seasonings, and onions. Bake about 35 minutes, remove from heat and let sit in refrigerator for 10-15 minutes before serving.
What’s special about homemade sauces? They always taste better than store-bought sauces, no matter what you like. You get the full flavors of your original flavor from the little extra bits added in for authenticity. Many sauces you get at the grocery store don't even taste like they're made there. So do some research, and get your hands on them! Then prepare them for pasta, chicken, soups, salads, or anything else that calls for making sauces you love!
As for sauces, I am all about using a brand made by my parents who were friends with my mom before she got married! My Dad's Brand is available at Target, but you can also find it on Amazon! For something quick, try this sauce -
1 packet packaged Tomato & Olive Oil
1 packet Fresh Tomato & Garlic Salsa
2 packets Tomatillo Pepper Sauce
3 slices French Onion
Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine tomatoes and onion, Salsa and both brands of sauce, and squeeze garlic clove into sauce packet. Now pour in each of your favorite veggies, seasonings and then mix everything up into one big paste!
When it comes to serving, eat warm pasta and gravy, serve with crust on top, add meat or veggies, or cut and serve plain. It isn't just a single ingredient that makes everything better, but many of the things you do add together with those three ingredients. Even though it may feel like cheating, you are actually getting the best out of what you do not have. Plus, if you want to experiment with sauces, you can, too! Try this! You will be pleasantly surprised at how much you like it!
